2021 Idéa Awards
A STRONG INDUSTRY CELEBRATED DURING A HIGHLY ENTERTAINING AWARD CEREMONY
PRESS RELEASE
Montreal, June 16, 2021 – The creative communications industry came together virtually to pay tribute to the very best ideas from 2020 during the 2nd edition of the Idéa Awards, hosted by Nicolas Ouellet. The six projects that impressed the juries the most, thanks to the quality of their execution and by exceeding their business objectives, were rewarded with the ultimate prize: a Grand Prix Idéa in their respective discipline.
More than 3,000 professionals took part in the event to celebrate their colleagues and the projects that stood out the most during a year upended by a global pandemic. Despite the setbacks of the past year, industry professionals doubled down and showed off their strategic and creative talent for supporting clients.
In addition to rewarding agency expertise, studios, production firms, and artisans, the award ceremony showcased 172 brands from here and abroad.

“Once again, we were blown away by the overall quality of the projects submitted: the insights were strong and inspiring, the executions were brilliantly carried out, and the impressive results speak for themselves. Every project rewarded is proof of how much our professionals contribute to the economy, especially during a year filled with enormous challenges,” said Dominique Villeneuve, President and CEO of the Association of Creative Communications Agencies (A2C).
“This year’s edition has shed light on the immense creativity of every discipline. Creative in a broad sense, but also creative in their ability to find ingenious solutions to meet clients’ business needs. We can be proud of our thriving industry filled with exceptionally talented individuals,” added Véronik L’Heureux, President of the Conseil des directeurs médias du Québec (CDMQ) and Senior Vice-President, Managing Director of Publicis Média’s Montreal office.
“The quality of the winning projects is undeniable! It’s nice to be able to celebrate these extraordinary projects with our entire industry, despite the distance between us. It’s a nice reward for all the work our industry’s professionals, including graphic designers, have done over the past year,” said Julie Royer, Vice-President of the Société des designers graphiques du Québec (SDGQ).
In addition to the six Grands Prix, several projects were bestowed Gold, Silver, and Bronze awards. Visit the Idéa Awards’ website for photos and videos of the winners.
