Important Appointments at A2C – Thomas Lecordier Named President and CEO and Stéphane Mailhiot Chairman of the Board

Montreal, November 20th, 2024 — The Association of Creative Communications Agencies (A2C) is proud to announce the appointments of Thomas Lecordier as President and CEO, and Stéphane Mailhiot as Chairman of the Board. The appointments were made official at A2C’s Annual General Assembly (AGA) in Montreal on Wednesday.

 

With extensive experience in commercial and client management within the WPP and Publicis Groupe networks, Thomas Lecordier has also worked at prestigious agencies such as Tank/Grey, Publicis, Ogilvy, and Leo Burnett. Holding an MBA from McGill University, he developed his career in Quebec and held strategic positions in Paris and New York. More recently, he completed the Artificial Intelligence for Growth certificate from the Kellogg School of Management.

 

“I am delighted to join the A2C and have the opportunity to advocate for the essential role of creative communications in our economy, culture, and society,” says Thomas Lecordier. “As an industry spokesperson, I wish to make a real difference and give back to a community that has given me so much.”

 

Stéphane Mailhiot, Chairman of the A2C’s Board of Directors, comments: “We took the necessary time to find the ideal candidate, and we are convinced that Thomas will greatly contribute to the promotion and defense of our sector. It’s excellent news for the agencies.”

 

In his new role, Thomas Lecordier will be responsible for implementing the A2C’s strategic plan, defending the interests of the Association’s members, and ensuring exemplary governance. He will officially assume his duties on December 2nd.

 

The Annual General Assembly was also an opportunity for A2C member agencies to elect their new Chairman of the Board, Stéphane Mailhiot. While several directors renewed their mandates, Mario Mercier (Compagnie et cie) joined the board.
