Montreal, October 21, 2024 – The Association of Creative Communications Agencies (A2C) announces the induction of three outstanding visionaries into its Hall of Fame, thus celebrating their exceptional contribution to the excellence and vitality of the marketing communications industry in Quebec. This year, the A2C’s Board of Directors has chosen to induct Jane Hope (Builder profile), Pierre Nolin (Beacon profile), and Yves Lapierre (Ally profile). They will be honored on November 20th at the event Les grandes entrevues du Temple de la renommée.
Following deliberations, the A2C Board of Directors settled on these three individuals, each notable for their strategic vision, leadership, spirit of innovation, and deep commitment to the industry. Here is an overview of their achievements:
Jane Hope (Builder profile)
Design Director. Branding Consultant. Entrepreneur.
Jane Hope, co-founder of TAXI, played a crucial role in the agency’s spectacular rise. As a leading designer and rigorous manager, she transformed creative ideas into operational realities, guiding projects with a holistic vision of the brand. Her ability to present and simplify complex concepts to clients was the key to the success of emblematic campaigns, such as “The Future is Friendly” for Clearnet. Jane also played an important role in TAXI’s expansion to Toronto and New York. She applied her skills to various other projects, contributing notably to the rebranding of the Montreal General Hospital Foundation. A discreet artisan, Jane has built something great, bringing both sweetness and cohesion.
Pierre Nolin (Beacon profile)
Ex-president, Nolin BBDO
Pierre Nolin, founder of Nolin Larosée, has played a major role in bringing design to the front of Québec Inc. A visionary and outstanding manager, Pierre spoke the language of business while stimulating creativity, which helped him acquire important clients such as the National Bank of Canada, Alcan, Bombardier, and Hydro-Québec. Under his leadership, the agency became one of the most respected design firms in Canada, winning numerous awards and carrying out contracts with major clients. After Nolin Larosée joined the BBDO advertising network, Pierre Nolin became the president of the agency, allowing the Montreal office to regain a notable position in the market. Pierre’s career illustrates how design can be elevated to the level of essential added value for companies, allowing him to leave a lasting legacy in the industry.
Yves Lapierre (Ally profile)
Compositor
Yves Lapierre has left an indelible mark on Québec’s advertising and cultural landscape. His ability to quickly compose and transition from one musical style to another has made him a popular collaborator. His cutting-edge company, Studio Tempo, has served a wide range of clients, including giants like Molson, Pepsi, Loto-Québec, Air Canada, and McDonald’s, with whom he has maintained a relationship for nearly 20 years. In parallel with his advertising career, Yves has actively contributed to Québec’s music scene, collaborating with artists such as Robert Charlebois, Ginette Reno, Johanne Blouin, and many others. He has also composed soundtracks for numerous films and TV series. Yves has, in a way, shaped the sound identity of an era by creating pieces that still resonate today.
