Immédia : Québec’s Media Event

The Association of Creative Communications Agencies (A2C) is pleased to announce the return of Immédia, an event dedicated to the promotion media expertise and excellence. This coming September 22, the event will be presented in a new format to professionals in the Quebec media ecosystem.

During this full day of conferences, participants will have the opportunity to deepen their knowledge on themes affecting their current and future business practices while networking with their colleagues. Agencies, advertisers, media, representatives and suppliers are invited to participate.

Immédia was created in 2018 by the Conseil des directeurs médias du Québec (CDMQ) and has since been re-launched by the Permanent Media Directors Committee, which was established following the integration of CDMQ into the A2C. The 2022 edition will provide different perspectives on current topics such as artificial intelligence, the future of a cookieless world, the role of influencers in Web 3.0, cross-media measurement and responsible media practices. Brian O’Kelley, co-founder and CEO of Scope3, will open the day with a discussion on sustainability in media practices. In addition, the results of the Study on investments in local media, conducted in the wake of the Mouvement média d’ici, will be presented at the end of the day.

“Media is a rich and vast field. Yet, few initiatives exist in the Quebec landscape to showcase the discipline. The return of Immédia was a priority for the A2C Permanent Media Directors Committee, as it contributes to the promotion of our sector and its vitality,” explains Dahlia Trinh-Viêt, Vice-President, Media, Glassroom, member of the Permanent Media Directors Committee and the Immedia 2022 organizing committee.

“There are many challenges and trends that deserve our attention beyond the Mouvement média d’ici. Bringing media professionals together in a forum to discuss and advance practices will help promote this expertise throughout the industry as well as among the next generation.” Adds Dominique Villeneuve, President and CEO of A2C.
