The DESSCM expands its program

The A2C and HEC Montréal are proud to announce several major changes to its Diplôme d’études spécialisées en communication marketing (DESSCM). These changes will come into effect in the fall of 2017.

After several consultations with alumni and industry professionals, the program was entirely renewed in order to better respond to the modern challenges facing an industry undergoing massive changes.

For more than 15 years, the DESSCM’s goal has remained the same: to provide solid training to the future leaders of Quebec’s creative communications industry. More than 400 students have graduated from this graduate program.

The changes planned are designed to maintain the program’s high-quality contribution to the industry, specifically regarding brand strategy:

  • revised course structure and progression of registered students

  • Introduction of advanced content (operating massive databases, contribution from artificial intelligence, new modes of leadership, etc.)
  • Training courses will now be given by pairs of teachers, made up of HEC Montréal instructors and renowned industry professionals, providing access to a diversity of profiles and skills.

To provide a more international approach, the program will officially integrate new notions related to business creativity, media changes, performance measurements, and sustainable development.

Here is the updated list of courses for the next cohort of students.

  • Communication marketing et marque : une perspective intégrée
  • Enjeux contemporains en communication marketing
  • L’art du breffage et de la mesure
  • La marque innovante
  • Recherche et communication marketing
  • Médias et nouveaux modèles de diffusion
