Membership criteria

Find out if your agency is eligible :

  • To be a company working entirely as an agency in the communications industry;
  • To have an office in the province of Quebec;
  • To be a solvent company;
  • Être en affaires depuis au moins 2 ans (Qc);
  • To offer the following three (3) basic services: design and creation, strategic planning, and consulting services;
  • Must offer at least one of the following additional services:
    • Graphic design and conception;
    • Event planning and sponsorships;
    • Database management;
    • Social media;
    • Influencer marketing;
    • Relationship marketing;
    • Mobility;
    • Media planning and/or buying;
    • Promotion;
    • Digital production;
    • Print production;
    • Electronic production;
    • Point-of-sale advertising;
    • Commercial research;
    • Public relations;
    • Digital products and experiences;
  • To have a minimum of three (3) advertiser clients (generating the majority of the agency’s revenue);
  • To have a minimum annual gross revenue of $500,000;
  • To employ a minimum of five (5) full-time employees;
  • To adhere at all times to the Code of Ethics and Quality Standards as well as any collective agreement negotiated by the corporation under the Status of the Artist Act.

Membership application

In order to represent the highest standards of the industry, the A2C asks that agencies that wish to become a member fill out a detailed application form. In addition to general information about your agency, you’ll have to provide the following documents:

 

  • Letter from your accountant/auditor certifying your agency’s gross earnings
  • Attestation from Revenu Québec delivered in the 90 days prior to the submission of you membership application
  • Letter describing your motivations and the objectives of your membership in relationship to your business objectives
  • Letter of recommendation from an executive of an A2C member agency or from a renowned individual in the communications and marketing industry

You’ll also have to commit to adhering to the A2C’s Agency Selection Guide, Standards of Quality, Code of Ethics, and any UDA-APC collective agreement for advertising production.

 

Please expect a two-month waiting period between the reception of your application and the decision whether to admit you as a member. Your application will be studied by our executive committee who will then make their recommendation to our Board of directors.
